11th Annual Merkel Cell Carcinoma Dinner Meeting
September 12, 2016
Overview
On September 12, 2016 in Seattle, over 260 patients, family members, clinicians, scientists, and trainees from across the United States gathered for the 11th annual Merkel cell carcinoma Dinner Meeting. They enjoyed a lovely buffet dinner, music, lab tours and a presentation on the status of research and clinical trials in this cancer, sponsored in part by generous patients and donors.
This event is a way for patients from across the country to come together with faculty and staff to learn more about therapies and clinical progress of this rare skin cancer. It is not a fund-raising event, but rather, a time for reflection and a look at what’s next. The event is made possible by generous patient donations.
The evening began with a bit of social gathering, beautiful music (violinists A Trio Classique / Paul Nghiem and Alex Nghiem) as well as poster presentations and lab tours. Dinner was then served, followed by a Presentation in the auditorium. The night capped off with a lovely dessert and coffee. Videos of the event and presentations are available below.
