He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists. Dr. Parvathaneni specializes in treating Head and neck tumors, Merkel cell and skin cancers, and salivary gland tumors. His research interests focus on improving outcomes of patients with Merkel cell carcinoma. In particular, he combines various types of radiotherapy (including neutron therapy) with immunotherapy and create synergy to stimulate the immune system. He also explores novel fractionation regimens such as using a single fraction of radiotherapy to treat Merkel call cancer.
